The Cadaver or Human Remains Detection Dog is a specialist search dog trained to assist in the location of deceased individuals and can also be used for locating forensic evidence. They are capable of locating both actual human remains as well as items which may have been contaminated by blood.

Cadaver Dog Teams can operate in a wide range of locations. Their searches can locate items located both above and below ground and they can also detect human remains under water in lakes or rivers. These abilities make them indispensable during extended searches over almost any terrain.
